Shem Center For Interfaith Spirituality

A Challenge Grant to Shem Center

Once again The Wolcott/Ebbeler Foundation, our supportive friends of many years, is offering you a way to have your donations to Shem Center increase by way of their matching gift.

We have received a challenge grant of $3,000 that will add $1.00 to every $2.00 we receive from you. This opportunity comes to us at a time our world is suffering greatly from the loss of awareness of the common good and the values of respect and civility one finds in the teachings of the world’s religions and spiritual paths — resources that Shem Center calls upon when presenting its programs.

Creativity and imagination is called upon as we continue to offer our programs to keep Shem Center’s message present via Zoom technology. Our retreats and other programs continue to serve a deeply troubled world. Adding Steve Miller to our staff as Assistant Director brings both possibility and stability to our programs.

Your donation in any amount will be received with gratitude and spent wisely to help promote our mission.

With sincere gratitude,

Joseph Kilikevice, Director

Since its founding during the Chicago 1993 Parliament of the World’s Religions, Shem Center has faithfully addressed the world’s longing for peace and spiritual depth. Through programs that promote respect and understanding among the world’s religions, Shem Center has become known for its warm welcome to a diversity of people and ideas. Among those attending its programs stories of transformation and healing are many. Blessed with mandates to do this sacred work Shem Center has continued its work in the midst of many challenges.

Its finances rely upon stipends received through its programs and thorough the generosity of our donors. Shem Center does not receive funding from the Church or the Dominican Order to which its Director belongs. Your tax-deductible donation in any amount is received with gratitude and is spent wisely to further the mission of Shem Center.

We are sincerely grateful for your generosity.
