Spiritual Direction is offered at SHEM Center as a service to those interested in deepening their relationship with God within the context of conversation with a director trained and experienced in “the art of holy listening.”

While Spiritual Direction may be deeply healing, it is not therapy which is a professional relationship focused on resolving psychological problems. Rather, Spiritual Direction is focused on the spiritual journey by noticing and responding to God who is present in the events of one's life, inner desires and prayer.

The environment is respectful, supportive and confidential. Monthly appointments of an hour are usually scheduled. A professional fee is discussed at the time of the first meeting.
